Sharing a Apple ID and wanting to sign in with my new ID?

I recently created my own apple ID because ever since my mom got a ipad, when someone face times her, I get the call too, and its pretty annoying.lol, But scared to try it, because I don't want to lose anything. I have a ipad and iphone. Sorry in advance for all the questions. I'm sure i would have to sign in on each device. Not sure there's much more to it than going into the App Store and signing out of one and signing into my new one, right? After that I don't know what happens, like to my games (Candy Crush) will I have to start all over? What happens to my apps that are already on there? What happens when I sign in on my id, will it effect my mom's devices. And I want to be able to switch back and forth when I want to purchase apps. Is that possible without messing stuff up. I think that is all I can think of as of right now. Again any answers would be great.

You can sign in/out of multiple accounts… Not sure what the limit is! It should not delete any apps from the device. Generally I think you can share apps with a limited number of devices [if they are paid apps or music] before there's a conflict. Check the apple.com page for more accurate info.

  • Will Apple automatically sign you out if you change your Apple password? My sister has my mums old iPhone which has my stuff logged in and she told me she could see my messages and I got a little freaked out and I wanna know if Apple logs you out automatically if you change your password ;-; (The phone is supposed to be mine soon.)

  • Sharing the same Apple ID, iMessages? So my family uses one apple Id which Is my dads. My mom uses iMessages for her iPhone 5 and I just got the ipod 5. I really wanna use iMessages but when I do, I get my moms messages and when I text someone it goes as her number. Is there a way to separate it, so I can use it but as a different number from my mom?
