Should I ask for a reward for finding a purse?

I found a bag that had a iPhone 5s, a surface pro computer, and some cash. On the computer it has a number to contact if found however I wanted to ask for a reward in exchange. My friend will give me $500 for the phone and computer, and I have already spent the money that was in there. So is it unreasonable to ask for a $500 reward? Technically it's mines now anyway, so how much of a reward would you ask for?

It is not "technically yours" and what you're really asking is whether you can extort some money from the owner. Nice ethics.

Why would you spend the money that isn't yours? The chances of you getting a reward are lower now because of that.

You should not ask for a reward. You found something that belongs to someone else, and you don't necessarily deserve a reward for that, and seeing as how you already spent the money inside the purse you should consider that your 'payment'. You should return the purse and all its contents to the rightful owner; And this is coming from someone who could *really* use the money from something like that. It's just the morally right thing to do, in my opinion.

Someone wants to give you $500 for a phone & computer that can be tracked? That's ignorant for a couple of different reasons in which I won't take the time to elaborate on. Asking for money after you already spent the money that was inside the purse sounds greedy & is greedy. You didn't mention how much cash which makes me think you were too embarrassed to say how much you already took. Do the right thing, at least return the computer, phone, & purse. You would want someone to return your lost items if they were found.

You do realize you stole five hundred dollars from this person and admitted to it on the internet don't you? Way to go.

No, you shouldn't ask for a reward. In fact, you should pay back the money to the rightful owner.

Yes, you are a thief, you should have handed it in the police the minute you found it, why should you get rewarded for doing the right thing? Nasty person!

Asking is kind of rude but it should be given freely. I found a wallet with 80.00 bucks in it once. The lady came and got it, said thanks then left… No reward. Okay I was co llaining about this and a friend said " your a christian, yoir reward is in heaven"… I thought " well it better at least be forty bucks"

You want a reward for stealing money? I'll give you a reward…

  • Which iOS navigation app should I download for finding new dirt roads? There are a ton of dirt roads where I live at, but I want to find some new ones to ride. Anyone know of a good iPhone app that shows which roads are dirt roads (unpaved)? There's Navigation by Telenav, MotionX GPS app, a TomTom and Garmin app, etc. But I'm not sure which one would be the right one for finding dirt roads. Basically, I want one that actually shows you that it's not a paved road. Anyone have any experience with these apps or know of one that would do what I want?
