Should I get a Mac or stick with PC?
Firstly, I'm 13 years old. I've worked with PC laptops/computers for as long as I was born. (I never had a Mac or MacBook). I've wanted a Mac computer/laptop for all my life. I'm obsessed with Apple and recently on an iPhone 6 right now. (it's amazing lol). But anyway, basically I'm a huge Apple fan. The reason why I'm questioning if I should stick with PC is because of gaming. I can literally download and play any game I want on a PC, but on a MacBook, not so much. But that's literally the only reason why I want a PC. I hate the design, I hate Windows 8, and I'm just not a fan of a PC. But I want a MacBook because of the sleek design, the way it's built, the backlit keyboard, the retina display, the trackpad, and it's amazing graphics. The only downfall is that it's not good with gaming. The only games I want to play is Outlast, amnesia, slender man, and the sims. Do you think the MacBook Pro (newest version) can handle all of that? It's just that my mom is offering to buy me a MacBook Pro for Christmas and I don't want to miss out on that chance and regret getting a PC. (Apple products are stupidly expensive) BUT, I also don't want to get a MacBook and not going to be able to play any games. What should I do. Please help, thanks!
BTW: I like to edit and play with photoshopping and I know the MacBook is great with that. So it's not like I'm going to only play games. I like editing too.
Pc. Cheaper and more compatible with other machines.
If it doesn't do what you want don't buy it
A PC is always much better in terms of performance or specs if you pay the same price for a pc but you seem to be interested with mac OS.
So I suggest that you buy mac os and install it on your PC. If you need any help with this, you can email at georgeramzy13@live.ca
A Mac, is also a PC.
PC=Personal Computer. A Mac is a personal computer as well, isn't it?
I don't understand why people come up with "Mac VS PC". It should be Non-Apple PC VS Apple PC (NOT Windows VS MacOSX, as Apples can run Windows too!), but let's not quibble over terminology.
First, what is so bad about Windows 8? Other than the start screen, it's basically Windows 7, only faster.
Windows 10 has brought back the traditional start menu for people who don't like the start screen, and yet people keep complaining.
"I hate the design, I hate Windows 8, and I'm just not a fan of a PC. But I want a MacBook because of the sleek design, the way it's built, the backlit keyboard, the retina display, the trackpad, and it's amazing graphics."
There are extremely attractive looking Non-Apple laptops as well. Have you seen an HP Envy?
backlit keyboard, the retina display, the trackpad, and it's amazing graphics - my laptop has all this, and it's not Apple. The problem is, people compare a $1500+ Apple computer, with a $500 Non-Apple computer.
It's not a fair comparison. If you pay more than double, you will obviously get better hardware.
Compare a $1500+ non-Apple with a Mac Pro, the non-Apple will beat the pants off of the Apple laptop.
"Amazing graphics" is a joke. Macs, even expensive ones, often use Intel Iris Pro graphics. While iris pro is good, it's nowhere near an Nvidia GTX.
At the same price point, a non-Apple PC will give you way better internal hardware than an Apple PC.
You get better CPU, better GPU, more RAM, more HDD, equal screen quality, backlit keyboard, trackpad (of course, i don't understand why you mentioned trackpad), touch-screen, internal sub-woofer, full HD webcam, Fingerprint scanner, eye scanner, you name it.
If I were you, I would get a non-Apple laptop (but not a cheap one). But if you are an Apple fan, you would probably turn a blind eye to my answer. It's only natural, psychologists call this "confirmation bias"- when someone wants to believe something is true, he will continue to believe it's true, even when there's overwhelming evidence on the contrary.
If you really want an Apple, you can game on Apple as well. Apple can run Windows. Games will run, but not as nicely as on a non-apple "gaming laptop", as apple graphics is very poor. Apple graphics is not intended to be used where "real-time" performance is required. It will let you edit HD videos and all, but these tasks don't require real-time performance as games, you apply an effect and the computer renders the video for 5 minutes- very acceptable for video editing, but not at all acceptable for gaming, you click the mouse and your avatar shoots a round after 15 seconds is unacceptable, you'll get killed in these 15 seconds.
I have mac and pc both, but if you really like games then stick with PC if thats your top priority (yes I hate windows 8 too).
- Should i update to ios 8 or stick with ios 7 on my iphone 5? Cuz from experience i know ios 7 is really slow on iphone 4. So just wondering if anyone already updated to ios 8 on their 5. Is it worth it, any issues with the speed
- Should I stick with verizon or move to sprint? I currently have verizon the coverage is good but I want to get the iPhone 5 I have the 4 with unlimited data its good but I'm getting tired of 3G it's slow. I seen sprint is the only carrier with truly unlimited data I hardly make phone calls but I'm a heavy data user and text once and a while if I upgrade from my line I lose my unlimited data. Which is what I don't want I live in the Los Angeles area do they have good coverage?
- Should I stick with my Note 3 or upgrade to the iPhone 6S (16GB)? So I've had the Note 3 for about a year and wish to get back on iOS, mostly because of my peers and I really like the iPhone. But practically the Note 3 has a much larger display and a bigger battery capacity. IIm really confused between the two. Is it really an upgrade spec wise or am I losing something in the bargain? It's an exynos version BTW, so there's no 4K recording.
- Should I stick with my jailbroken iPhone 4S or switch to ios 7? My friend keep telling to switch to ios 7 because everything's new but I like getting free games and music and cheats for games. I even go the ios 7 theme for my iphone but It just destoryssm battery life. Even in airplane mode. I just leave in my pocket for an hour and the battery is like 70% left. What should I do?
