Should I trade my iPhone 3GS in?

3 months ago I purchased a new iPhone 3GS for AT&T, I love it i even bought 4 covers for it I love it like so much best phone I ever had, should I trade it in for a iphone 4 though, people say me phone is outdated

The iPhone 3GS was first released in June 2009, the iPhone 4 June 2010, the iPhone 4S October 2011, the iPhone 5 September 2012.By industry standards, even the iPhone 5 is a little old, as most devices never hit the one year mark. Apple is a notable exception to this rule. Unlike other manufacturers like Samsung, HTC, LG, and Nokia, they do not release any new low-end or mid-range phones. Instead, they target this market by continuing to sell their old phones at lower prices.

If your concern is about what other people think of you, the iPhone 4 is probably your best choice since the iPhone 4 and 4S are outwardly identical, purchasing an iPhone 4 will probably stop anyone from criticizing your phone. If your concern is about the performance of having an older device, I would upgrade at least to the iPhone 4S, as the apps and features on the latest updates are built around the faster dual-core processors on newer iPhones. With the release of the next time rumored to be imminent, it might be worth waiting a bit, as the iPhone 4S and 5 will drop down in price after its release.

Unless you're just stuck on Apple, if you're concerned about the expense of purchasing a newer iPhone, it might be worth considering a Android or Windows Phone, which you can still get for free or close to it, but will be newer and perform better. Some good phones in this category from AT&T are the Nokia Lumia 820, the LG Optimus G, Samsung Galaxy S III, and the HTC One VX.

At the end of the day, you should pick the phone that you want, not what someone else tells you that you should have. If you are completely happy with the iPhone 3GS, then why would you have anything else?
