Sounds like a load of nonsense on their parts, I don't see what water cannons have to do with the neighbouring countries and their residences
Basically it's up to NI if they want to use water cannons, they do have a track record for setting fire to cars and throwing petrol bombs over there so perhaps a water canon ain't such a bad thing.
What is worrying is that innocent passers-by could get caught by them, they are quite powerful, I remember footage of when they were used here they knock people off their feet, it is quite possible to break bones and there would be hell to pay if they caught an elderly person with a weak heart…
I think its funny seeing people get hit with a water canon I would love to have a go
