What is so great about the IPHONE? - 1

I just bought one and been playing with it. I don't understand what is so special about it. I had a blackberry before this and a windows phone. Everyone told me i should get an IPhone. I don't see why or what makes it so special. Am I missing something?

Just keep using it for a couple of months. Give it a chance then switch back. Then come into these forums and you have your answer.

I always believed in Apple. Besides what makes you think androids are not iphones. I mean they changed the way phone interfaces look. So much to a point that it becomes a norm to have a swipe touchable screen on a phone. If Apple had never came out with the iphone then we would all still be using old motorola rzrs. Ew

Best hardware, best security, best design. Check around the appstore (or search the web for apps, thats actually a better way to search then appstore search).

It's not for everyone. There would have to be features or apps that would be useful or entertaining for you. I would personally never own one even if the phone and data plan were free. I'm not particularly into fancy electronic gadgets, I have no need for any of the functions, and as someone who can touch type I get extremely frustrated with the lack of a real keyboard. (Even a flip phone is annoying to use and that slows me down a lot less).

But I can see why some people like them. For example, the compass and location services might be a nice feature for someone who's into geocaching. The maps might be good for someone who does a lot of driving. Safari would be useful for someone who needs to look up information when they're away from their desk. The iMissal app might be a good thing for Catholics (I assume it would be quicker than going back and forth in the hardcopy of the missal). They make an app you can hold up to the radio and it identifies the song and artist.

The part-eaten apple at the back of the phone makes it special.
