Stuff randomly turning on. Paranormal or just strange?

So earlier (forgot what time, i think around 10pm) i turned on the tv and the fan turned on (metal fans that stand up). The tv also didn't make the usual sound a sony normally makes when it's turned on. And about 2 mins ago at 1:23am (yes i get insomnia) my iPhone wasn't recognising my dock like it normally does. It would play music only if i pressed play rather than automatic and it wouldn't charge. I tried again and it charged for 2 second then it said it was not supported. It worked fine this morning. So i decided to reboot my iPhone and then as I'm rebooting it (with the power and home buttons) my iPod dock makes a noise as if a speaker is unplugged from a stereo (which it never does and don't think it can do unless forced) and the little screen flickers and the iPod setting turns off. Weird. Could it be some paranormal thing? Its not like i believe in that stuff but who knows. There's never really concrete evidence and it would be cool if it was something

Added (1). okay well i tried again with my ipod touch and classic and it didn't work for them either then it started flickering and making the weird unplugged speaker noise again and turned off again. I check the cables and its all good. It just randomly started working again about a min after the flickering

Your electronic devices make noise? Weird.

Maybe you r really stressed

<the fan turned on> Your fan isn't plugged into a switched outlet by any chance, is it? Doesn't much matter, electronics and electrical devices simply can't be depended on to work all the time, especially if your electrical mains don't deliver consistently clean power. Transient power spikes and drops can cause these beasties to behave erratically. You also may have some problems with the lines in your house. If you're overloading a circuit with a bunch of splitters and extension cords, that can cause problems from the kind you describe up to burning your house down.
.
<[There's] never really concrete evidence> Yes, that's a real problem, isn't it?
.
< it would be cool if it was something> Which is no good reason to believe in anything. At least you're honest about it, though.

Looks like we may find out in the very near future.

- Could it be some paranormal thing?

No, It could be an electrical failure kind of thing. For example, have there been power surges or maintenance in your area? All these problems sound inherent with power failure

  • Why is my iPhone 5 turning off and not turning back on? This has happened twice now. My iPhone 5 has turned off in the middle of the night with a full charge and off the charger, and when I try to turn it back on it takes a couple tries. Has anybody experienced this?
  • My iPhone 4s keeps turning off randomly Last month my phone would charge and when I will be around 40% the phone would just die turn on and die again. I had the battery changed and it was fine for about a month. Just today I took a picture and my phone died at 30% when I press it it shows me the battery to charge it and then when it turns on again it says 30%! What is wrong?
  • Siri/voice control on iphone 5 turning on randomly? Whenever I'm listening to something (podcast, music, etc.) siri will frequently turn on. I turned off siri and voice controll will turn on instead. I have had my iphone 5 for 6 months and haven't had any problems until now. Aside from scratches on the outside edges, there are no structural problems and I haven't dropped the phone at all.
  • My iphone is randomly turning off ios 7? I have ios 7 for my iphone and i know it is beta and will have bugs but does anyone know how i can fix this? I don't even know if ios 7 is causing it because i got ios 7 a while ago and it just started doing this. It randomly turns black and won't do anything and it turned back on after a while but this time it is taking longer and it still won't work.
