Surface Pro 3 or MacBook Pro for college?

I'm going to be going to college soon for engineering and will need new computer. I can't decide whether to get a surface pro 3 or a 13" MacBook Pro Retina. I'm mostly going to be using this to take notes so I don't need any major specs plus I have a gaming desktop that I built that can handle anything major if I need it to be. Throughout high school I used an iPad 2 to take notes and it did well but it's getting pretty old now. Also to note that I use an iphone so I'm kinda used to Apple. The reason I like the SP3 is because of the versatility and I like the MacBook because everything will be in sync since I have other apple products. If I get a SP3 I will probably switch to a windows phone though just so I can stay in sync with that since I'm used to going from my iphone to iPad and everything is there.

The Macbook Pro is the better there however if you have a gaming desktop already you might want to consider something cheaper for notetaking.
Both have their pros and cons:
Macbook pro:
Apple product,
High quality,
Easy/intuitive
Avery good laptop

Very expensive,
You might not use it as much as you would if you didn't already have a computer

Surface pro:
Alright laptop for its price
Cheaper

Isn't as good as the apple macbook

So it depends on your price range, if you can afford it get the macbook if not get the surface book

  • Windows surface pro have iTunes? I'm thinking about buying the windows 8 surface pro, because it is clearly better than an Ipad, but the only problem is that I have an iPhone 5, i would like to know if it was possible to download iTunes on the tablet? And be able to download and drag music in my phone also to set up my iCloud

  • IPhone 5S and Macbook pro, or Android phone and windows laptop for college? So i have an iPhone 4S, and i want to try something different because i've had many problems with it. I've come to the conclusion that for college i should get apple or android for college. If i went for apple, it would be an iphone 5S, and a macbook pro. I don't have a clue about android or windows laptops, so if you could recommend phones and laptops.
