Turn a wireless pc with adapter to a wireless hotspot?
We have two Pc's in the house. The primary pc is upstairs across the whole house. It is directed connect to our modem and we have a wireless router connected. My PC is across the house and is taking in Wi-Fi through an wireless adapter. I was wonder if i could turn my PC which is the wireless pc into a hotspot without hard wiring it. Connection is horrible from my room and my phone just can't pick it up. I have an Iphone 5 from At&t. Those of you with an Wi-Fi compatible phone from At&t know how much it cost for data plans from At&t. I have two wireless adapters which i was hoping i could bridge with one running on Ad-hoc mode and one on infracture mode. I also tried the other method of making an wireless adapter into a router but i think my pc has to be hard wired for that to work. I have a Netgear Wnda3100v2 and a Netgear Wnda3100. If anyone could give steps or help direct me to the right place then I would appreciate it. If its impossible then i guess ill just have to deal with it.
If you already have a low connection with Wi-Fi, adding to it will just make it slower/lower
a hard wire is always the best along with a higher connecton package from your isp. If its dsl then you do not always get wha yo pay for.cable is way to go.
I don't think you can make an ad-hoc network while the pc is using the wireless adapter to connect to the internet, you would need to be connected by ethernet cable to use the wireless adapter as an ad-hoc network

- Personal hotspot & wireless router? I've just moved into a new apartment and there's no internet here yet. I have an iPhone with unlimited data and we have 3 computers, 2 of them are Wi-Fi enabled and a wireless router that's connected to the wired computer. The question is how to make the router connect to the iPhone via wi-fi and re-translate internet to all 3 computers. I need to share the internet connection via wi-fi WITH my router (belkin f5d8633-4) and not other devices.

- Can't turn personal hotspot off? I have iPhone 4 (not 4s) and in my settings it said personal hotspot do I clicked on it, it took me to another page and I turned on, it then took me back to the main settings page. I then didn't know how to use it because I didn't read instructions just turned it on… Now I want to turn it back off but the button isn't there anymore (in the main setting page the "personal hotspot" is gone.
