Unlocking an iPhone without the original SIM card in?
So I sold my old iPhone online, my friend checked it first and assured me it was unlocked but the buyer has just gifted it to her son for Christmas and it's not unlocked. It's a complete nightmare! The original sim is now in my new phone and the old iPhone is with this woman so I can't put the original sim in the old phone, it's from Vodafone and they require account holder info and an IMEI number found by calling a number. I d be calling that number from my new phone with my old sim so IIm not sure how this would unlock the old phone? I'm in desperate need of help!
You are going to have to contact Vodafone and have them help. You may need to get the old phone back in order to properly unlock it.

- Iphone 4s 5.1.1 activate without original SIM? I have a friend and he is from France( I'm from Greece)! He just gave me an iphone 4S because he bought a new one! I took it and i updated to 5.1.1 iOS( From Itunes ) but now i can't activate it because it needs the original SIM! IS there any way to activate it? Thank's in advance!

- Do i need the original sim card to unlock my iPhone 3gs? I got an iphone 3gs from my mate, but want to get it unlocked from a store because i'm on O2 not whatever her network was on. Do I require the original sim card in the phone for them to unlock it? Can I leave my O2 sim card in the phone while they unlock it? Any help would be gratefully appreciated.
