Verizon iPhone 5: activation issues?

So I went to Verizon store on Monday and switched from iPhone4 to iPhone 5. I bought the phone off glyde.com and the store used the iphone5 SIM card already in the phone instead of a new one.

After I restored to put my cloud back up on it, it had no service. After that was done, it turned on to Verizon on the status.

Now it's Thursday and last night I updated iPhone to the new 1.8.4 iPhone version and I keep getting a "phone is not activated" but the thing is, I have bars, I can connect to LTE just fine and I can even call people. I tried to call the number that it tells me to call but the person on verizon had no idea what was up.

Could it be the SIM card that is messing up? I might stop by the Verizon store just to see if they have any idea what is going on.

Any other things you guys might think it is as well would be helpful to ask the Verizon dude.

The phone has to be a Verizon phone, otherwise standard voice calls and texts won't work, because Verizon uses the old CDMA system instead of GSM. The SIM card is just for roaming with other GSM carriers.

  • Iphone 5s Virgin Mobile activation issues. Null? I have been trying to activate a new iphone 5s for Virgin Mobile. I have tried to activate it online and keep getting the message that 'null is required'. I can't find any explanation to what this is or how to remedy the problem so I can use my new phone. Does anybody have any ideas as to how to fix this?
  • IPhone 4s connection issues? Update issues? I updated my iPhone 4s and as it turned on it will not let me go past the set up as it says I don't have a developer account? I'm not a developer and I do not have a developer account I can't restore the device as since I did the update the phone won't connect! WHAT SHOULD I DO? If anything does anyone have a developer account just so I can get into my phone? Yes I updated to iOS7 well tried and I can't restore as it won't connect
  • IPhone 4 face time activation issues? I have an iPhone 4 running on iOS 9, with no service. I was attempting to activate both facetime and imessage. Imessage and facetime both say waiting for activation under settings. However, imessage is working perfectly. When ever I try to make a facetime call it instantly says call failed. I even had my friend try to facetime me and it said unavalible for facetime. Are there any solutions too this?
  • If I turn in my iPhone 5 for hardware issues, can I get an iPhone 5s? Or does the warranty not cover this? So my iphone 5 has a hardware issue and they said they could change it for a new one with no charge… But this was before the iphone 5s was announced (and i kind of really want one so.) i know they can give me an iphone 5 with no charge, but once the iphone 5s comes out, can they give me that instead, or are they not allowed to?
