What are push notifications? And how to turn them off?
Okay so I'm a 9th grade student and I study in a school where phones are not allowed in school in fact almost every school in my country dosent allow any electronic iteams… But in my school many people bring phones and now even I want to take my phone to the school (I own iphone ) but now the probem is that if I put it on silent mode I'm scared that the notifications in the apps may make that noise and then my phone will get confescated and what I have understood by push notifications is that _ the notifications which come from any app you hav… Is it rit? And is there any way please tell me step by step how can I keep my iphone completely silent so that no one in the school gets to know about it…

Almost every school in the world doesn't allow phones haha and all you have to do is flip the ringer volume that's on top of the volume buttons… And don't fall into peer pressure.
The apps notifications doesn't make noise if the phone is kept on silent mode. All they can do is vibrate if the phone vibration is enabled in the phone setting. So that isn't a problem.
Quick Silence Via Buttons:
Step 1
Locate the "Ring/Silent" button on the left side of the phone directly above the volume buttons.
Step 2
Slide the button toward the back of the phone. The iPhone vibrates for a second and a picture of a bell with a line through it appears on the screen.
Step 3
Slide the "Ring/Silent" button forward when ready to allow ringing again. A bell appears on the screen to indicate ringing is enabled.
Using the iPhone Settings
Step 1
Press the "Home" button on the bottom of the iPhone to turn the screen on. Slide to unlock if necessary.
Step 2
Tap the "Settings" icon and choose "Sounds."
Step 3
Slide the On/Off switch to "Off" under the Silent heading to turn off vibrate completely if desired.
Step 4
Slide the On/Off switch to "Off" under the Ring heading to turn off vibrate when receiving an incoming call. Slide the volume slider all the way to the left to turn the ringtone down all the way.
