What if I don't pay my at&t bill for my iphone, I'm actually about 45 days late on my bill and still I have service active but my iphone is broken. I can't afford the costly iphone replacement and I'm fed up with their $90+ monthly bill. I still have 14-15 months left on contract and I've read about Early Termination Fees. My current thinking is to have my iphone repaired, unlocked and switch to a cheaper carrier. What happens to these ETF they mention? Does it follow me to another carrier? I have no intensions of paying anything on at&t, I plan to default, let it go to collections and ignore it, I'm not so concerned about my credit score at this point in life. I'm trying to live as cheaply as possible and at&t rates are just a luxury that I can't maintain.
You are going to trash your credit for 7 years over a phone? Bad move. In 7 years you might want to buy a car, or a house and this will screw you over. And why is your bill $90 a month? Call them up and deal with them. See if you can talk them into getting you a lower priced contract. I pay $200 a month for 4 smart phones, one of which has the higher data plan.
Get a droid off ebay. You can get a cheap new one for $100 or a used one for $50. You really don't want to screw your credit up.

Also, can I still get the iPhone if I don't pay right away?
