What is data in a Verizon data plan?
I just got an iphone 5 and am having some trouble. I know that data includes email, accounts and any internet websites (facebook, youtube, netflix). Does it use up data to have multiple internet browsers open even though I only look at one at a time? Is it possible to use up data when the phone is off?
Also, is taking a picture, playing app games, listening to music, and siri considered to be "data" on the data plan?
Is there an overall explanation for what a data plan is?
It's the amount of memory used over the internet on 3G/4G place of wi-fi.
Data is the amount of transferring of online activity you use when using 3G or 4G mobile data (internet on the go).
If you are using 3G/4G, then anything that you do that involves internet (visiting websites, downloading apps, watching videos, listening to Pandora, etc) uses up data. (If you're on Wi-Fi then you're not using data).
Just having a browser open won't use data. Navigating web pages or refreshing a page, will.

- Verizon Wireless Data Plan Verizon is having that promotion where you buy 2GB of data and it becomes 4GB for the same price, well I purchased the droid razor considering that promotion only works on 4G LTE phones, well recently my Razr broke and I was thinking about getting the iPhone 4 for now. Would that promotion still work for me since I have already gotten a 4G LTE phone and have already qualified for this promotion?
