What should I buy? IPhone 5 or Note 2?

I'm gonna buy an iPhone 5 or Note 2 very soon and I need to know which is better. What I use the phone is mostly for taking photos (Lots of low light photos too), music, online chatting, texting and I occasionally a Youtube video. I don't really need to carry around videos except like a very few. Also I tend to play a few games on the device.
Two more things. First, I'm already very much into the iOS ecosystem. I have all my contacts online and I use photostream a lot but I don't really use iTunes much. I just use it for the occasional syncing. Second, I go out a lot with my friends and I want to use the phone as a camera too. Please don't give me BS saying that Apple sucks or Android sucks or whatever.

Iphone 5 is just an updated version of the previous iphone's and its nothing special. I recommend Note 2 because it's something new. Cheers

Since you're into the ios ecosystem, I would go with the iphone 5. There's always the "blah blah android phones are much more powerful", but honestly, most people don't notice the difference in performance when it comes to general usage on both devices. Based on benchmarks, the iphone 5 is twice as fast as its predecessor, and I thought the 4s was just fine in performance. My friend owns the note 2.In my opinion it's too big to be a phone and too small to be a tablet. The iphone 5 is the perfect balance of dimensions and performance. It all comes down to your choice in the end, but I highly recommend the iPhone 5.

Hope this helps

Both the iPhone 5 and the Note 2 are probably two of the best phones on the market at the moment in terms of the overall quality and features that they offer. It's safe to say that each phone covers all the bases you are looking for in terms of data storage, phone quality (both have 8-megapixel cameras) and high quality screens for watching/recording videos or taking pictures.

However there are differing features too, for example the Note 2 has a huge 5.5inch HD screen, whereas the iPhone 5 has a considerably smaller 4 inch HD screen. It is up to you as to whether this is a bonus or not, some people do not feel comfortable with larger phones in their hand or their pocket, other people prefer the larger screen for gaming etc, so it's entirely down to you.
As you know, both phones run off differing operating systems, the Note 2 on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean, which of course has it's own marketplace and apps, whilst the iPhone runs the iOS6.
The operating systems also mean that the layouts and UI are different, and some people argue that although the Apple is very simplistic and easy to use, the Samsung Galaxy range of Android phones are more customisable and can be changed more to suit you preferences, so this could be an important factor in your decision.

There are of course a number of other features on each of the phones, the one's listed above are just a few main pointers. We have full specifications and reviews on both phones on the Dialaphone site:

Hope this helps you out, I'm sure you'll be happy with whichever phone you decide!

  • Should i buy the note 3 or the iphone 5s? I want to get a new phone but after like 6 months so i can have the right money to get what i want. So which phone should i choose!
  • Should I buy the Note 3 or iPhone 5c? I'll be purchasing my first phone ever this, Friday and I'm so excited! HOWEVER, I'm torn between the Note 3 and the 5C. So I need help on picking one. Please explain why you think either phone is the best choice.
  • Should I buy the new iPhone 5, or wait until November for the Samsung Galaxy Note 2? I'm really tempted to get the iphone 5 right now, because I really want to switch out of my blackberry. I've never used an android phone, and I'm sick of the apple ios. The ios is too simple and plain. I was going to get the galaxy note but then I heard rumors of the Samsung Galaxy note 2. Should I risk getting the iPhone 5 and not regret it or wait 1 and a half months for the Galaxy Note 2?
  • Should I buy Samsung Galaxy Note 2 or iPhone 5? I can't decide. I was thinking of buying iPhone 5 but I was quite disappointed with it as the screen is longer instead of wider. Samsung Galaxy Note 2 has a wide screen and I can do different tasks with it. Despite that, I've always use iPhone and I don't really hope changing another brand.
