What would happen if I did this?

I'm leasing my iPhone 6 (making payments to pay it off) through sprint for the next year and half. I still owe a little over $100 for my iPhone 6 with Sprint. What would happen if I switched to MetroPCS without paying a cancellation fee and paying the phone off? Is there any way I can pay it off now?

If you are paying it off now then just pay the cancellation fee. Otherwise it would be blacklisted.

It would be considered at the very least breach of contract, possibly theft, by Sprint. As for paying it off now - that's usually what the cancellation fee is. But why don't you just ask Sprint customer service? If you tell them you intend to switch to MetroPCS, they even might make you an attractive offer to stay with them…

As for blacklisting: the US providers (and a few other countries) support blacklisting by IMEI. A phone (or rather, an IMEI) which is on the list reported as 'stolen' won't be able to get service with any provider.

  • Why did this happen to my computer? Ok so the weirdest thing happened. I rarely ever use my computer but this morning I did just up put music into my iPhone than I shut it down and put it away later today I brought it back out but it wouldn't turn on!
