I buy all my music, I've spent over 1,000$ on iTunes and the App Store! But sometimes I can't find a song on iTunes so I have to do something else.
I love GrooveShark, it's a website that's a lot like an app, you can stream tons of songs and it works in the background, you can make playlists, etc. That's GrooveShark.com
For downloading music (from YouTube) I like Pocket Tube because it looks just like the Apple music player, and it works in the background. I don't recommend Sound Cloud because it doesn't really have a huge selection for bigger bands and artists. It's mostly indie music, and remixes. I tried.
