Why do I have high ping playing League of Legends?
My current ISP is Cox, I'm paying for 50 MB speed. I can stream videos on YouTube at 1080p, I have little problems while downloading. I have scanned for viruses and cleaned out my laptop using CC cleaner. But whenever I play LoL, my ping goes from 80 ping to 1500 ping in a few seconds and I'm almost constantly dc'ing and reconnecting mid game. The only things that have access to the internet right now are my laptop, my xbox 360, and my iPhone.
If anybody can help me with this issue, it would be greatly appreciated.
Try to disconnect all your devices from your internet. Lets see if it still gets high
The first thing you ll have to check if thats only a problem with your ping, check your connection here: http://www.speedtest.net/...dtest.net/. I agree with jihee, you must disconnect all your devices and, if you can, disable your Wi-Fi, maybe you have leechers. Then connect your PC to the router by wire.
If thats not working, try to do a trace of your connection:
1st. Press Windows Key + R
2nd. Introduce cmd and enter
3rd. Introduce tracert www.leagueoflegends.com
You can send us the screenshot, you ll see the first 3 columns, thats your ping.

- Wi-fi on laptop causing high ping? When the wi-fi is connected on the laptop and i'm watching videos it causes the broadband wired connection on the computer to freeze and shoot the ping to 200+. I have tested other wi-fi devices such as iphone and tablet and it has no impact on the connection, stays at 35-40 ping, it is only when the laptop is connected and watching videos it causes the problem. Any Ideas?

- Reducing ping or lag when I use my internet? When I play computer games such as league of legends, my ping shoots up to about 400ms. I believe it to be caused by the Xbox and wii in my household streaming Netflix movies and usage of Wi-Fi on an iPod and iPhone. Is this problem caused by my modem, router, Internet speed, or ISP. Or do I simply just take turns where only one person can use Netflix at a time etc.
- League of Legends Iphone 4 Cases? I've been looking everywhere and I can't seem to find anywhere that sells iphone 4 cases for the LoL champs I need. I want one for Gragas, Ryze, or Ziggs. Preferably Ziggs. Jinx was useless, same with amazon. If anyone has a link to somewhere where I can find these specifically thatd be great!
