Why do iPhone batteries take so long to charge to 100% battery power?
Is there any reason why battery life doesn't last on an iPhone or a Smartphone?
A couple hours is "so long?"
Smartphones have shorter battery life because they do a lot of stuff that drains the battery. Using internet is a big drain, as are backlights and everything else basically. There's a lot of hardware being powered by that single battery.
Mainly the screen sucks all the battery power because there are so big and bright now, But also just think what these phones are capable of now? They are nearly as powerful as a laptop with duel core processors and all this takes a toll on the battery life.
Because of the bright screen, by going into settings on iPhone you can change brightness and it will save alot of battery. I found out that on average it takes 2 hours to get to 80% and 2 more hours to 100%
My iPhone 4S charges in about 45 minutes on the wall or car charger, of course much longer on the pc. Smartphones in general eat batteries because they are always looking for a signal, this particularly true in low or poor signal situations like inside buildings or in rural areas. Shutting off Wi-Fi and Bluetooth will help a little.

- Why won't my iphone 8 plus charge to 100 percent and stays at 98 percent? I don't leave it all night charging. I always wake up around 7 then charge it for like 2 or 3 hours and it will stay at 98 percent, but when I restart it, it would go to 100. And I just recently bought it. Why is this problem?

- Why does the last percentage of my iphone battery takes so long to charge? I have noticed that the very first percentages (1-20) of the iphone battery charges very quickly, but when it comes to the last percentage (99-100) it takes like 15 minutes to charge!
- Why does my iPhone 4 take so long to charge? Okay so I just got a new iPhone 4 so I'm not sure how long it should take to charge but I just had it at 86% and I left it charging for 1hour and its still not full charged. Should I upload that IOS7 thing? Would that help? Also it seems to die really fast is that normal?
