Why do kids have iPhones, iPods and iPads?
My wife has three little cousins. One is 12 he has an iPad mini his brother is 6 he has a tablet. And her other cousin who's 7 has an iPod touch. I don't get why so many little kids these days have iPhones and iPads and iPods. When I was there age we didn't have any of that. We didn't even have a computer in my house until I was a teenager. I'm 42 I have an iPhone now my wife has an iPod. Even celebrties give their kids iPhones and iPads. I don't get why kids have this stuff when they can just get up and play on the computer. It has a lot of the same stuff. Why do little kids have iPhones, iPods and iPads and tablets?
I wish i knew myself, i guess its because its the norm now. Booting up a computer takes a little extra time compared to just turning on your iphone or your ipad or ipod and clicking on safari or youtube or the app store. My theory is that people are just lazy, they don't want to waste time turning on the computer sitting in the same spot for hours when they can just use their little portable ipod to do it anywhere. Thats my theory anyway
This annoys me to death too. Ok, I'm a teenager and I have an android phone, but I'm familiar with Apple and the like. There's a lot of reasons for why kids these days have iPods and iPads and that stuff. The kid asks their parents for it because another kid in their class got one for xmas, birthday, etc… Peer pressure I guess. Their parents give in eventually I guess. They think they're cool for having a iPhone too, kind of how kindergarteners and grade schoolers think teens are cool because they also have phones and text a lot too. The commercials and media also play a big role in what kids want these days. I mean apple commercials, media commercials, fitting in with people, being socially acceptable because you have a phone.
At least this is what I thought back then, I was one of those kids who wanted a phone. Thank god my parents said no. I got one for my 14h birthday.
Nowadays you can play games on tablets, iPads and iPhones or iPod touches. Computer and laptops are huge and difficult to maintain and not portable therefore people rather prefer iDevices. Hope it helped…

- Why do some people like to act like iPhones and iPads are status symbols? If it were, I mean you'd have the whole lifestyle to keep up. But a lot of people buy them. I'll admit they're both convenient but I find it a little weird to think anything of owning one. (This is in general, and not directed towards how people act to me - just my observation).
- Why do so many kids have iphones, blackberrys, and smart phones? I mean little kids as young as 5 years old. It really does annoy me because they are little and don't need a really expensive phone just for emergencies. I always see them on the phones and ipods. My brother is almost in middle school and has the cheapest phone. And i'm in highschool and my phone is nowhere near the expesive phones the elementary kids have infact my phone is used so i got for free.
- Why do people with iphones also have ipods? A lot of people I know have iphones. But they also have ipod touches. Why? If you have an iphone (which is the exact same thing as an ipod touch plus calling capability) where is the need for an ipod touch? Just doesn't make sense to me.
- Why do people put passcodes on their iPods or iPhones? My girlfriend has an iPod touch and my friends daughter has an iPhone and they put passcodes on them. I have an iPhone and I don't need one on mine. My friends daughter has a little brother and I understand that's why she has it on hers but my girlfriend doesn't have any brothers or sisters so there's so reason for her to have it on her iPod. I don't get why they put them on there. Why do they have passcodes on their iPods and iPhone?
