Why do people act like gangsters and cholos?
Ok so my whole life I have lived in the poor area of Los Angeles, mainly the place were there's alot of gang activity and crime. People in my neighborhood and even those who go to school act all hard like if they hard a tough upbringing. There's this white girl who says that she is oppressed by society and that she has had it difficult all her life. She is my friend and all but seriously she is so lucky to live in a luxurious house with all those fancy gadgets like the latest iphones and cars. She's really cool and all but she can be kinda ignorant I guess. Then goes the people in my school who all want to be part of gangs and shoot people to live some kind of dope drug life. Why does society encourage a drug doing gangster life on people. Do they even know what its like! I want to go to college, get a job and get out of this hell hole and I hope God helps me with that but what about everyone else, why do people love gangs and drugs as cool when its something we should all hate.

The society does not encourage as you say "drug doing gangster life on people". It's your surrounding environment that has bad influence on you. Focus on school and your education because that is the only thing that could get you out of the ghetto one day.
They also act like hipsters ugh…
like wearing really gay clothes and thinking there "goth" but even the goths reject them

- Why people like iPhones? I can't never get people who like iphones to give a good reason, why? Some say it easy, but a lot have no clue on how to use their own phones. Can someone explain something useful that great about iphone? Everything they think is special other phones have been doing for years.
- Why do some people like to act like iPhones and iPads are status symbols? If it were, I mean you'd have the whole lifestyle to keep up. But a lot of people buy them. I'll admit they're both convenient but I find it a little weird to think anything of owning one. (This is in general, and not directed towards how people act to me - just my observation).
- Why do so many people that own iPhones act like they are better than everyone else? Lately it seems like anytime I meet someone new, they make a point of mentioning the fact that they have an iphone, then talk about how great it is… All I asked was what time it was or if they knew when a baseball game was going to start. One person went so far as to say "if you had an iPhone you wouldn't have to ask."
- Why do people act like having an iPhone means you're part of the cool kid club? I've gotten so much attitude about not having the latest iPhone 6, I don't even have a phone. I'm in grade 9, so that annoys me, because legit everyone is my grade has an iPhone except for me… But I don't get why people think they're so popular and cool if they have an iPhone!
