Why does ebay keep banning me?

Ok, so my friend told me to sell my iphone on ebay, so I did. Ebay is very confusing to me to use. I finally made an account and tried posting my ad but it says

I clicked my ebay and it says I'm banned for unusual account activity.

I made another account and tried posting my iphone on ebay again. It said the same exact thing and it said my account is banned because it is linked to another account that is banned or restricted? I'm so confused! Help ME! I'm angry and not in the mood to deal with this crap, I just want it simple! I'm not liking ebay right now >

It may not be your computer per say that is banned.It sounds just be your IP address. It is best to contact ebay customer care like the person above me said to do.

So yeah, you can only made one account on eBay, as you keep making new accounts they assume you are doing so fraudulently. Which by your description it sounds like you are, maybe without meaning to do so. Or maybe someone in your family has created an account in your name?

You need to contact eBay and explain what has happened then let them trouble shoot the problems.

In the last 2 months, ebay is being hacked, All the customers data stolen except credit card number. I didn't know exactly whether that activity effect to whole system. My account several days ago is banned by ebay too, i can purchase only, not sell. I thought, in recent days, ebay didn't allow new customer to sell before have feedbacks.

Calling eBay is an exercise in futility. EBay's CSRs barely speak English and have never used eBay themselves. All they do is read from a script. They'll have no idea what you're talking about, and even if they do, no authority to do anything about it or even communicate the problem to a real eBay employee who could do something about it.

eBay has an algorithm that uses hundreds of variables to search for users who have been restricted or banned and are creating a new account. Unfortunately, that algorithm also catches innocent third parties and bans them too. If you have the same address, phone number, IP address, e-mail address, or virtually anything else as someone who was banned, you will be also. I've heard of entire apartment complexes being banned.

This is a blessing in disguise. If you try to sell an iPhone on eBay, the chances that you will get ripped off are 99.99999999999%. Newbies like you selling highly desirable gadgets attract scammers like blood attracts sharks. Sell it on craigslist instead.
