Why is my iphone not going back to the home screen?
I have an iphone 4g 8gb with iOS 5.1.1 jailbreak on it. After about a year and a half i got sick of the old jailbreak and decided it was time to update. Well i didn't have enough memory on my phone to update so i went to settings and had it erase all files and data. After I pressed it it went black and all it showed was the loading wheel. Its been doing this for 12 hours. I tried syncing it w/ itunes but it won't read it. My power button's broken so i can't put it in DFU mode. Any ideas?

1. Restore with itunes. Often the best way to solve an iOS device issue.
2. If you can't find a solution online or restoring doesn't do anything, take it to an apple repair center.

I even compared it to my moms iPhone 4S and my sisters 4. Also when it's in sleep and I hit the home button, it's slower to come up than my mom and my sisters iPhones. - Is there an iPhone app to go to the home screen? My Home button isn't working well? IIm afraid my home button will completely stop working soon enough, and i don't currently have money to replace it. I really only need the home function, but it would be really nice if it also had a screenshot function (because screenshots need the home + lock combo) Edit: If it makes any difference, my phone is an iPhone 3GS (old, lol) and has iOS 6.1.6.
