Why is my Orange credit disappearing?
Yesterday I topped up £10 on my iPhone 4. I sent a couple of texts, and was at £9.00 credit. I received a text this morning from Orange saying I only had £1.00 credit left, and so 2 minutes later I called the top up number and suddenly I have 0 credit.
I heard this has to do with data roaming but that has been turned off this whole time, and I have't received any dodgy unknown calls or texts. I'm connected to my Wi-Fi only so I don't get why this is happening. Any ideas/solutions? Does it have something to do with cellular/mobile data being left on?
When connecting to Wi-Fi it is important to remember to turn off your phones network provider connection (you will not be able to make or receive calls/texts once you do this) as this takes priority over Wi-Fi.
Have been on Orange payg since year dot.
Always use Wi-Fi for phone internet and have never used a single penny of credit or a single bit of internet allowance by turning phone connection off.
I've had this problem several times with orange. Just afew days ago checked my balance in the evening £6.11 was there, made sure Wi-Fi, data switch etc was off, sent acouple of txts (should be free), checked balance in the morning 35p. When I first tried registering to dolphin tariff only txting 450 and using there links some how wasted £15 of credit. I showed them the txts in store and the times to show the credit had gone in 20 mins and just got told phone customer services. They also don't tell you that you have to have credit on your phone to use your free internet allowance.
- Wireless network keep disappearing? I have two wireless networks at home. I have a problem with only one of the devices. It's a Benq Joybook R46. That Laptop keeps losing wireless connection and even not seeing any of them. The other devices are working great. I have another laptop and an iphone. I wonder where the problem is. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
- Will an orange pay as you go sim card work in my iphone orange contract phone? My orange phone is still in contract but could do with a different number on pay as you go as well, would rather just get the sim card and swap them over, but can always buy a cheap phone as well
- Why are notes disappearing from my iPhone 5? Some notes have disappeared from my iPhone and I don't know why. I would really like to get them back somehow. My phone doesn't have much memory left and I don't know if that has anything to do with it. Sometimes my notes copy themselves and I have two copies on my phone, then I try to delete one and they both delete, or I click on a note to access it and it comes up blank. I don't know what's happening but I really need help, please!
- Problem with my Apple Iphone contacts disappearing? My Iphone is becoming extremely annoying. Some of my contacts are disappearing when i text them their name is displayed yet they have vanished from my contacts. Another problem i have just discovered is old numbers for contacts are displaying when i'm selecting to text them even though i deleted the old numbers a long time ago. Does anybody have any solutions?
