Why is Siri continuously being activated without pushing home button?
Today, I was at the gym with my headphones in. IPhone 6S Plus was not glitching for the first 10 minutes, but then it kept activating Siri without me even pushing the home button. Thinking it was being pressed in my pocket, I took it out and set it on a flat surface with no way the home button could be pressed. Needless to say, the issue continued.
Obviously, I became irritated, unplugged my headphones, and set my iPhone behind the front desk. Now at home, my iPhone is not doing it at all.
IIm thinking of getting new headphones to see if it was a headphone issue, but that doesn't explain the Siri problem.
Has anyone else experienced this? What fix is there to look into?
I have had the phone sine February 1, so if it continues, I may just replace the phone.
If you have the earbuds with the rectangular button on the length that attaches it to the phone, that can activate Siri when it's pressed. So you could just be accidentally pressing that.
The newer iPhones don't need to be plugged in to be listening for "Hey Siri". If you rule out the headphones (there's that volume button on the wire, you know) maybe re-training Siri to recognize your voice can help.
Make the settings so it only activates with home button, not when phone is raised etc

- IPhone home button got wet and Siri keeps popping up My iphone got wet while riding splash mountain at disneyland (lol) and now my home button isn't responding. Not only that, but the siri on my phone keeps popping up. I can't even use my phone for at least 30 seconds without it showing up. Please help me solve this problem. I've tried doing everything to fix my home button. I feel like giving up on this phone.
- Iphone home button activates siri with single press? My sound on my iPhone 4s has been broken so this morning I cleaned out the charging dock with rubbing alcohol. Now the home button doesn't work -- when I press it, sometimes nothing happens and sometimes it activates siri even though I only hold it down for the short press. Does anybody know what's going on/how to fix it? I fear it has something to do with the rubbing alcohol. I don't care that much about the sound problem, I just want the home button to work!
