Why is society like this today?

I'm 17 and when i'm on public transport, everyone has an iphone or a samsung galaxy
they are always on it, i don't know what they are on, but they are on it.
i have an iphone, but i rarely use it
and what i can't believe is why the little kids have iphones
why is it?

Because thats just they way the world is now. Its kinda sad really.

I don't know, but really I don't mind it. I love my iPhone, in fact its what I use to get on here and all the other sites I have an account on. I've had a phone since I was 8, personally. Strange how kids are just growing up so much faster, in a way.

They think these devices are bare necessity for them but I think these are Prestige symbols for them. They want fast result and always desire to remain ahead in each field of life. There philosophy of life is totally materialistic. Society does not want to ignore change and having broad understanding and adjustment with our new generation. But new generation must know that there's a limitation in each attitude. Excess of every thing is bad and give diminishing return if things are beyond limitation.

People are fascinated and therefore preoccupied with the wealth of information available at the touch of a finger. Many are becoming addicted, allowing gadgets to control their lives and losing touch with people.

Parents get iphones for their kids most of all so that they have instant communication, there's a protection factor, and secondly; "to keep up with the Joneses." Kids that don't have one are increasingly left out.

Because they don't have lives. They should do what my friend and I do. We watch buses pass our bus and see which buses are the best which we call the good bus. And we watch bus drivers wave to other bus drivers. I don't know why no ones else does that. It can be a good way to pass time
