Why is there no option for 1080p on YouTube on my iphone 5s?

Why is there no option for 1080p on YouTube on my iphone 5s?
There's no option for 1080p on my iphone 5s in the YouTube app. There used to be the option on my iPad air but it has since disappeared and the highest I can get is 720p.

Probably because the iPhone 5S can't support 1080p… Which isn't surprising… With an iphone you wouldn't notice a quality difference between 720p and 1080p… So it not being there, doesn't effect you… At all…

Actually there's a huge difference between 720p, and 1080p, you would indeed notice a difference if you had a bigger screen. One is higher resolution than the other. Your screen is not big enough to support 1080p, hence is why the option is not available. Keep in mind the "P" is for progressive scans. The "I" is for interlaced scans. This refers to the refresh rate of your screen, monitor etc.

The good android phones that cost more then the mid range phones have 1440p 1080p displays yet apples is slowing catching up to that when android been doing it for awhile? Iphone 6s plus is the is one of the iphones to have a 1080p display but that phone came out in 2016 why i say slowing catching up to full HD lol
