Why isn't my iMessage working? - 1

I just recently had to get a new iPhone because my old one was broken. When I try to send a message, it fails to send right after and I'm not receiving messages either. I have signal, but it doesn't say "Verizon" next to my bars like it used to. How do I fix this? I also did a backup with iCloud. All my apps are downloaded but I still have some photos that haven't finished.

Go in settings check your message setting

First make sure if you have internet if your able to connect to the internet,
then if you are connected, try to sign off then sign back on then wait till imessage gets activated

I even tried turning the imessage button one and off in the settings tab. I'm connected to a Wi-Fi as well. Can anyone help me imessage again?

Then one day i accidentally turned it off and i tried turning it back on and it always says activation unsuccessful. I even tried reseting my network settings. I have iphone 4s and it does have ios 7. Any suggestions?
  • Why isn't my iMessage working Okay so I went away for a few weeks and now that I'm home I want to use iMessage on my phone again (iPhone 3) but it was off so i just thought that it turned off automatically when I went overseas but when I turned it on again it wouldn't work; it just sat there with "waiting for activation… " on the screen and not actually working.   • Why isn't my iMessage working on my iPhone 5? It's fully updated as far as iOS goes. I was on my run today and literally it just stopped working out of nowhere. Looked online for troubleshooting but Apple doesn't help AND I don't wanna screw my phone up any worse (whatever is going on) by doing something to activate iMessage again. Anybody have a proven trick that may help me get this back on track? Much appreciated!
