Why isn't the iPhone 5 more popular?

It seems like the iPhone 5 haven't becomed as popular as the iPhone 4S. In stores they only sell iPhone 4/4S cases and people isn't talking very much about the 5.

So. 1. Why isn't the iPhone 5 more popular? Do you think it's because it isn't enough different from the iPhone 4S?

2. Do you think the stores will sell iPhone 5 cases maybe next year or so or do you think the iPhone 4S will continue to be the phone everyone wants and all stores sell cases to?

3. If you would buy a new phone, would you buy the iPhone 5 or iPhone 4S and why?

They are clearing the old stock before Christmas ;-)

5 has been on waitlist for months… Not sure "how popular" you expect it to be. Its probably the highest selling iphone Apple has ever had, so you really have no idea what you are posting about.

1. The iPhone 5 is more popular, as the sales figures & supply/demand have shown. Many complained that the 4S was not too different from the 4 but it still ended up being the best selling smartphone up until 1 week before the 5 was announced. As far as the cases, the 5 is still relatively new vs the over a year old 4/4S so cases would not be as readily available.

3. The iPhone 5 definitely. Bigger screen, slimmer profile, lighter device, most powerful, etc.

1. Apple is starting to show its greed and age, and that everything isn't all innovative and magical. The move from 4S to 5 is one of the smallest increments in changes, and the technology on the 5 was matched/beaten before it was even released.

2. Third-party case/cover manufacturers need an actual phone to make the form for their products. No phone ever has a huge number of third-party cases upon release; you need time to change the forms, test them, and then start running your huge batches for distribution. Given the market share on the two phones, you'll certainly see a lot of cases for both; it'll just take the 5 a while longer to get up there because it hasn't been out for that long.

3- Neither, since I'm an Android fan. If I had to go with one of those two, I'd go with the 4S because it's cheaper and almost all my phone usage is on Wi-Fi, so I don't need 4G or the small difference in screen size.

Iphone 5 sold 5 million units in three days, i guess i would say it is more popular than iphone 4s

The iphone 5 isn't very popular because people are starting to realize that their prodocts really arent very good, or have very good quality. Android dominates the market and iphones are (or at least i think) over priced, too restrictive, inferior phones that teenage girls buy because everyone else has them
