Why Siri won't function well in Israel?
Well I had an iPhone and an iPad for a really long time and I never used Siri before. From reason I decided to check it out and it barely does something. Whenever I ask " I'm hungry" or "find me a pizza place" all it says I can't find you restaurants in Israel. It doesn't show directions as well. All it can do is tell me the time! What's the point of it then!
Added (1). Lol no its not my accent, because it repeats exactly what I said.
Added (2). ALI* dude there's no reason to be racist and mean. Because I think Muslims are not good either, but I don't shove that in your faces right!
Siri needs to breathe and all the Jews there are hogging all the FREE AIR.
@ALI:
Really? I didn't know programs breath air…
Maybe it is Apartheid-phobic.
Siri is based on artificial intelligence but any sort of intelligence, even the artificial sort would sense evil when it is exposed to it and this may explain why Siri is not happy on stolen land.
It may have something to do with the fact that the official languages of Israel, both of them, are not supported by Siri, and by association Siri can't have access to maps of the nation or something like that. That would explain the bad directions or inability to find restaurants if it can't interface with Hebrew or Arabic language data.
I guess for now, Siri's only good for things limited to your iPhone and iPad, like making appointments, setting alarms, calling people, etc.
You could try to bring it to the official dealer in Israel, such as an Apple store if one exists near you, and see if they can give you any notifications about it.
- Would AMC on demand work in Israel? I'm spending the next year in Israel but I would still like to keep up with Breaking Bad. I won't have access to a computer but I will have my iphone with Internet which I can currently watch episodes of AMC shows from. Would that still work in Israel or would zoning laws or such prevent me from doing so?
- Why won't Siri work on my iPhone 5? When I press and hold the home button on my new iPhone 5 Siri does not respond. Instead voice control pops up. I went to Setting>General>and Restrictions, and I have turned on Siri. Voice control still responds when I press and hold the home button though. Do I need to do something else? What am I doing wrong?
- Why won't Siri listen to me? I have an iPhone 4s and whenever I try to talk to Siri, I press the button and it goes "bing bing, bong bong" and won't give me a chance to talk
- Why is IPhone Siri funnier than iPad Siri? I have an iPad mini. Siri is so boring on mine. She just says, "I can't answer that." Or "is that so?". On my friends iPhone, she replies really funny. Also on the Internet I see funny convos with Siri all from iPhone and not on iPad mini. Why is it that siri is funnier on iPhone? They are both part of apple!
