Why won't certain chargers work in my iPhone 5C?

My phone charger recently broke and I have a spare wire that I could you use but it won't charge my phone, but it will charge my uncles iPhone 5 (I bought the wire from tesco). So I tried my dad's charger and that does work but I can't take his phone charger (he has an iPhone 5S). I also tired my sister charger for her 5th generation iPod and that comes up with "This accessory is not certified" or "this accessory is not reliable". I also have an adaptor I tried, it fits into a iPhone 4 charger and then and iPhone 5 but that come up with the same thing. All the Apple charges should work the same? I don't understand, please help!

I've had the same problem, not sure why but i use this charger for my 5c

Most chargers, be they Apple or a generic brand, have different voltage properties. And the devices which they are meant to charge have different voltage needs. This is why some chargers will charge your phone slowly, some will charge it faster than normal, and some will give you the error message you're describing because they do not supply sufficient enough power to charge your phone at all. Granted, I've only ever gotten that error message when using a car charger… But to each their own.

Because they have different volts

I have a friend who has verizon and it sends messages to him very fast and I have friends who have different carriers and it won't send to them. • Why won't my iPhone play certain CD's? I've got tons of CD's left over from before I ever got a iPod or the like and usually, once moved over to iTunes, they play fine on any device. After the most recent update all of my albums that I have a physical copy for refuse to play and my phone keeps prompting me to put in passwords as if I'm trying to make a purchase. It's getting fairly annoying and I'd enjoy assistance on this topic.
  • Why won't my iPhone make certain sounds anymore? For some reason my iPhone is not making sounds for certain apps such as camera, or for standby mode. I checked the settings, and both "lock sounds" and "keyboard clicks" are on, yet I don't hear either of these. I know the speaker works, because it plays music and I can use speaker phone. Anyone have any clue what the problem could be? I also tried resetting the iPhone, didn't work.
