Why won't songs delete from my iphone 4s?

I have deleted several albums from my iphone 4s by swiping and pressing delete on my phone. This usually works but for some reason they are still there. I can't play them, they come up all grey but I think they are still taking up memory in my phone. Even if they aren't, it annoys me seeing them there when I know I deleted them and I can't play them.

Any help with how to get rid of these songs and albums once and for all would be much appreciated, also if anyone knows if they are still taking up memory that would be very helpful.

I know that you can just swip the song on your phone and you have the option to delete it, but i just updated my phone to iOS7 and it doesn't allow you to do that anymore… anyone have any ideas that i can do that would help me?
