Why won't my iphone usb cord work?

I have a charger for my iphone, the part that plugs into the wall is separate from the usb cord

the cord isn't charging my phone, i know its the cord bc i've tried my friends, but i obviously can't keep them

so what do you think i did to my usb cord to make it not work, it just stopped working one day like i don't understand

Buy a new one

You twisted it or something.
The wires inside if the cord is cut and is no longer going to the cord.
You can try to fix it by finding what wire is cut and rewiring it.
Your cord is considered broken and most would throw out.
Not impossible to fix though.

I think the cord is broken in some way like the wiring. Your friends cord recharged it with no problem. My mother one night vacuumed my room what she failed to notice was that my n64 controller was on the floor. The vacuum ripped the cord wide open but luckily it didn't severed the cord. Get a new cord or see if a business near you can fix it.

On further inspection, I saw that the USB cord was like half way into the power adapter. Is this damaging to the battery?
