Will an unlocked iphone 5c work on H20?
I currently have an iphone 4 on h20. I want to upgrade to a 5c or 5s but on the site they only sell up to the iphone 5. Do the newer models work on h20 or is the iphone 5 the newest supported version?
No. Phones in America run on two types. CDMA and GSM carriers. One takes a sim card and the other doesn't, respectively. These are not interchangeable.
Common CDMA services: boost, sprint, verizion, cricket, etc.
Common GSM carriers: tmobile, at&t, and go phones (tmobile, tracker, at&t, etc).
Will one phone have a SIM card and the other not? If so, they are not compatible.
If they both do or do not have a SIM cars, then they are matched.
But your phone will need to be "flashed" (for CDMA PHONES) or "unlocked" for GSM carriers. This means that the phone network will have to adjust to carrier specific networks, or technically, be programmed to a different netowrk.

I want to get an iPhone 4S and my friend has the iPhone 4 unlocked but i'm worried that if i get it non-factory unlocked it won't work. My uncle tried to do it a couple of months ago and apple said that if it was factory unlocked every time the phone shut off or died it would reset. I was just wondering if the same thing would happen if it wasn't factory unlocked? So if I get it unlocked everytime it will shut off it will reset? That is what i'm worried about.
