Will apple replace my iPhone that has a software glitch?

Will Apple replace my iphone 5c that has a software glitch as well as a hardware glitch?

The first time I dropped my phone and it wouldn't turn on so my carrier, Sprint, gave me a replacement iPhone 5C. The second time, I had the cracked screen and got it replaced at Metro PCS. My sprint repair center was out of screens at the time and directed me to Metro. Now today I dropped my phone off my bed and now its something wrong with the display. Whenever I'm on the camera, there's a shadow effect on the screen, that makes the photos look dark. I can also see the apps through the keyboard, they are slightly visible in inverted colors. When I turn off and on the phone, while it is loading the homescreen is slightly visible as well.

Here's the thing, before all of this, my phone has being having a problem with keeping the right time. Whenever I turn my phone off its like the time stops going or it goes back. Along with the date. I've tried everything I've seen that have been told to people who experienced the same issue. This has been happening ever since I received the replacement iPhone from sprint.

Now I've heard that Apple will replace your phone if it has a software glitch at little to no cost, from people who went through the same thing with the time issue. But since my phone is pretty messed up now, will it ruin my chance at getting Apple to replace my phone because of the software glitch? Thanks.

I have applecare not applecare plus and warranty still.

They will probably reset your phone for the time glitch but as for the dropping thing they most likely won't replace it for free

Its not a "glitch", the "glitch" is you because you dropped it several times. Certainly you will have to pay something but if you bought insurance then read that to see what your coverage is.

Since you, your phone and gravity have constant fights with each other, it's probably going to be 50/50 if they repair/replace for a small fee or replace based on your track record. They'll have in their system that's it's been replaced before and will be highly skeptical this time around. Only way you'll know is to ask. Just don't be sad if they say 'no'. Best luck.

  • My iPhone has been experiencing this glitch? So this started a couple of weeks ago and it has been seriously impeding my ability to use it. It comes and goes randomly, lasting from 30 seconds to 12 hours, which can be a major inconvenience. And yes, I have restarted it multiples times during an occurrence, but to no avail.

  • My iPhone 6 has started to bend and apple won't replace it? I've had my iPhone 6 for almost a year now and its starting to bend slightly like those phones at bendgate. I still have warranty and insurance so I took my iPhone to apple to show them my bend and they won't replace it because they are saying its physical damage. What should I do i don't want to keep this bent phone.
  • My iPhone 4S currently encountered a software glitch? The Wi-Fi will not turn on. I never turned it off, it just randomly shut off. Whenever I try to turn it on, it stays grey and won't switch to on. My iPhone is running on software 6.1.3. I have read elsewhere that this version of iOS is glitchy. I have tried everything to fix it, but nothing seems to work. If I take my phone to the Apple store, don't they HAVE to replace it because it's a software glitch?
