Will I lose my apps and music if I update to iOS 7 from a jailbroken iOS 6.1.2?
I have a jailbroken iOS 6.1.2 (iPhone 4S) and I'm just wondering if I will lose my messages, apps, music and photos etc if I update to iOS 7 from the jailbreak? Thanks.

Yes, it is quite possible, particularly because jailbreaks go beyond the iOS code and associate themselves with files that might be taken away with the jailbreak, and that can include app data and music.
I recommend you getting rid of your backing up FIRST, remove the Jailbreak, then update to iOS 7 via iTunes to restore most of your stuff back (assuming it'll work)
Yes, your jailbreak will disappear. But to save your apps and music, plug your phone into your com, sync with iTunes (make sure you tick sync apps and music) and backup. Then update to iOS 7.
