Will my iPhone theoretically run out of space if I keep updating apps? - 1

Added (1). Every app says something like "63mb to update." And theoretically over a large amount of time, it should run out of space right?

I would say if you are always taking up more space then theoretically something should run out of space, yes.

Eventually, assuming each app update increases in space.

No. Updates just change the apps, they don't necessarily make the apps bigger. So updates usually have no significant effect on the amount of space you are using.

  • Will updating my iPhone software use more space? I currently run on 7.0.4 and I could be running 8.4. I missed a few updates because I only use my phone for music. I have every megabyte devoted to music and I don't really see the point in downloading more software if it is going to take up valuable space on my phone. Would updating my software actually use more space, or would the new updates cause the software to become more compact? Some people tell me that the new software is significantly smaller but I seriously doubt it.
  • Will updating my iPhone apps affect my phone speed as how updating the Operating System (OS) will? Currently I'm using the iPhone 5s on iOS 8.3 I know if I were to update my phone to the latest OS I may notice some slowdown on my phone's performance, since it may not have the "muscle" to handle certain functions. Many apps now are optimised for iOS 9 and/or the 6th generation phones. Will my 5s' speed performance slow down if I update my apps? Will the app's performance slow down?
  • Will updating my iPhone 4 make it run slower? Right now It says I'm on 7.1.2 and I want to update it but I'm afraid it will make it slower because its older.
  • Will the iPhone 5s run out of stock the first day it comes out? Startguessing everybody! And if sp, How long do you think we have to wait till they stock more up in the shelves?
