My boyfriend and brother were together at waltmart and my brother decide to break a iPhone case and steal 3 of them. My boyfriend was next to him but he didn't had nothing on him. Officer knew that my boyfriend didn't steal nothing cause he didn't carry any item but in the paper they give to both of them they put he was carrying the iPhone cases they put the same thing as my brother. They have to go to court in a month. My boyfriend is 18 and my brother 17. We live in North Carolina. What could happened to them? IIm nervous and worry about them.

Your Boyfriend is an accomplice if he knew your brother was shoplifting and failed to report him. If he was there he's charges with the same offense as your brother

You better hope that doesn't get on your record, because most companies run your fingerprint and many won't even consider you if there's any type of theft on your record. Where I work they run your record when you are hired, and if anything is found later when results come back, they actually have security come to your desk and walk you out of the buidling.
