Worth upgrading to iphone 5s or not?

I have a iPhone 4S and I have had it for about 1 and a half years now and my contract is ending this month so I need to upgrade from a sim only plan and I was thinking is it worth upgrading to the 5s because I have heard that it is a lot faster and just better in general so would just like your opinion if it is a good idea to get it thanks.

Iphones suck really bad so the answer is no

Depends on what you use it for.

In my opinion I you mostly use your iphone for calls and maybe a few photos and if you think the camera is good enough for phone snaps there's no point for 16GB model it starts at £549 sim free and contract roughly £47 a month for 2 year contract total and to of £1128

so take the total phone value away from that leaves you £579 for unlimited minutes and texts over the year which is about £24.12 per month for your calls and texts etc and 2GB data

Is it really worth it for a more powerful phone to make calls and take a few snaps and browse the web, I doubt it as you can do this on 4s (5s is an impressive phone though).

I would suggest if you like gaming on your phone and browsing the web stick with the 4s if you want something more powerful to use in you spare time to game or do whatever it is you do buy a PC laptop or a console (depending on what you wish to use it for) As a laptop matched around the same price will be far more powerful

" I have heard that "

and when you get answers to this question you will hear lots of other things.

Before I can tell you whether something is "worth it", you would need to say what it is that you would have to pay. On Verizon you would pay about $99 (and maybe other tacked on fees) to get the iPhone 5S - is that what you would be willing to pay for speed you may not even notice? You can get 4G speeds on the 5S (as well as the 5 & 5C) but yiur carrier may not reliably support those speeds in your area. The 5s has better hardware… But there's almost always going to be a newer phone. Are you going to "upgrade" as soon as one comes out.

Here's an idea - check with your carrier and see how long you can hold your discount out for. If your current phone still works fine, and you can have your discount upgrade whenever you want it, why not wait to use it for when you really need it? If you can go another year on your IPhone 4S, you can use that upgrade discount on an even newer phone.

" would just like your opinion "

For specific ideas about the 5S, try going to websites like Verizon's where you can find user reviews posted by people who actually own that phone.

Ok lots of questions here:
1) is it worth upgrading to the 5S? It really depends on your personal preference - if you feel the need to have the latest phone then you'll probably want this phone. Its a great looking phone and if you like iPhone's then you'll probably love the 5S (i'm an Android person myself).
2) When you say its faster - that really does depend on the network you go with. Are you in the UK - if so then currently the only network that can offer you full 4G with the iPhone 5S is Everything Everywhere - but that comes with the highest price! Both Vodafone and O2 don't currently offer 4G with the iPhone 5S its not compatible on their 4G network (although i hear they are sorting that out), also O2 and Vodafone only have around 8 cities covered in 4G - whereas EE has alot more. Either way if you want faster then you'll have to pay more monthly to get it. So if its faster you want then check out the comparable prices here for the iPhone 5S.

  • Worth upgrading from iPhone 4 to Samsung Galaxy S3 (and concerns)? I have seen online that I'm able to sync music and video from iTunes to the S3, but my real concern is the money I've spent on iTunes apps. I have an iPad so the apps would not necessarily go to waste, but would it be worth getting the Galaxy S3? I really love the idea of customization that you just can't get with iOS and the performance.
  • Is the iphone 8 worth it? I'm upgrading from an iPhone 5. (no touch id button)? I have an iphone 5 rn. I'm upgrading to an 8. I'm not getting the x cuz no home button and too expensive. And i hate the size of the 8 plus. So, IN MY CASE, is the iphone 8 worth it(given that i'm upgrading from a 5 year old phone)
  • Is the iPhone 5S worth upgrading from the iPhone 5? I was thinking about getting the iPhone 5S, or just waiting for the iPhone 6. Is the iPhone 5S any better than the iPhone 5, or is the iPhone 5 better?
  • Is it worth upgrading my iPhone 5 to an iPhone 5s? My iPhone 5 keeps glitching by randomly turning my music on and off and turning my siri on. It'll start doing things on its own. I tried restarting my phone but it makes no difference. And the more I use my camera, the quality keeps getting a little more worse. Is it time for an upgrade to an iPhone 5s?
