2010s we're seeing breakthroughs in tech so when?

I'm no expert but I know things like the invention of iPhone, APPS, AI, CGI have changed so much we're using smartphones to do so many things that wasn't possible in the early 2000s or before. However all of our devices are projected on a screen its a physical object. How far are we from leaving platic and screens to virtual/hologram immersive experience? Its hard for anyone 2 say but with the current tech and the progress weve made since the beginning of 2000, could this be 1decade,2,3,5 or 8,10+ ? We all love entertainment whether its games, movies, music but todays standard iPhone x with the best audio outpout you can use to give it an effect still doesn't cut the idea of a truly digital device that can change and replicate in you hand and give you the feel of being for instance in a virtual place experiencing your media. So yea any thoughts, please?

I'm still waiting for my flying automobile that was promised in the 1950s

  • Why do people miss the 90s when the 2010s is better? I was born in 2000, I remembered how lame the 90s were. No iPhones, kids had to talk to their stupid parents, etc.
  • Why are 20th century born people (1900-1999) saying the '90s is better than the 2010s? I was born in 2000, and people born before by most people were said to be born in the twentieth century but I proudly call it the 'ignorant century'. These dummies say the '90s is better than the 2010s, but when I google '90s culture and images I just laughed down in the floor laughing so hard! The only way the '90s could've been better is by having iPhones, Snapchat, instagram, and music having remixes!

  • What is Sprint1x, and why am I just now seeing it? I've updated my iPhone 5 to ios 7 and I have always gotten LTE siginals mostly in my house, occasional 3G and something I've never seen which is Sprint 1x, it is super slow, slower than 3G. I know there's Sprint O connections which is basically useless. Why hadn't sprint shown this before? I'm getting 1x where I used to get 3G siginals.
