4G LTE Won't Enable on AT&T iPhone 5S? - 1

A few days ago I upgraded my iPhone 4S to the 5S and was pretty excited for some LTE speeds. But all that my phone shows is that I have regular 4G and I have no idea why. I checked the AT&T website for support with no luck. I even checked my account setting for my phone and nothing seems to be wrong. People keep saying that 4G is the same as LTE, but that's not totally true. My iPhone 4S said 4G at the top, same as my 5S, but it was not LTE. And all my friends who have an iPhone 5, there phones do not say 4G at the top, they actually say LTE. Why am I not getting LTE?

You either do not have a plan that includes LTE or you are not in range of an LTE spot. Try checking your account to see if it includes LTE. If it includes LTE, try moving in range of an LTE spot. If you still can't get it, turn on LTE if it's not on already. If you STILL can't get it, the iPhone's LTE band could be defective.

  • Why won't my iPhone connect to LTE when switching from Wi-Fi? The LTE symbol is visible at the top of my phone. However, I still can't access the internet or Siri. This happens when I'm out of Wi-Fi range and trying to switch into LTE. I tried turning on/off the Wi-Fi and Data connection. It seems the only solution is to shut off my phone and turn it back on. However, this is too inconvenient.

  • LTE on my new iPhone 5 won't work? I just bought a used iPhone 5 from a friend. He used to have Verizon but he took the SIM card out. I put my SIM card in and my carrier is Straight Talk. Ever since I got my new phone I don't get LTE but the plan I have gets LTE. I've only been receiving 3G and it's really annoying. Please help me figure out why this is and who I need to contact to fix it or if I can fix it myself.
