5megapixels and 8 megapixels difference?
So I'm switching from windows phone Nokia lumia 710 which has 5mp to iPhone 5 which has 8mp, will I see a clearer and big difference in the pics on the iPhone?
Yeah, take a picture of the same thing, and it'll be more detailed on the iPhone.
Sorry… I just have no faith in a cell-phone camera for qualtiy. They are great if you have a fender-bender accident, but for good quality pictures they leave a lot to be desired if you ever decide you want to make an enlargement. IF and I say "IF" because I'm not aware if a cell phone camera has a qualiy setting, if it does by all means always use the setting which yeilds the best quality.
Having several "Apple" products, I'm inclined to go with the Apple iPhone!
When it comes to camera phones it doesn't really matter, while something may have an 8 megapixel sensor it doesn't exactly mean it's going to be better resolution as a number of things will reduced the quality and resolution of an image such as:
- Lens
- Sensor quality
- Low light performance
- Colour management
- Climate handling
There's a lot more that can be listed but they are some of the most common
3MP
If you blew up the picture, the more megapixels would look better. Megapixels after all only tell picture size.
Picture quality isn't affected. User skill has more to do with it.
If you're interested mainly on the photography element of a smartphone, i suggest you go for a Nokia Lumia again but with PureView sensor like the one in 920. Nokia proved its Imaging capabilities to the extent from 5mp to 41mp cam. When it comes to Nokia it doesn't differentiate megapixel ranges, but it focuses greatly on how even a small sensor can take much brilliant pictures on daylight as well as low light @ night.
The difference between 5mp and 8mp camera is,
*pictures will look crisp and clean,
*larger sensor,
*greater point of focus,
*zooming extents,
*better aperture line,
*quality images and videos with greater resolution.
Hope that helps!
You will see a difference, but it will be between bad and awful.
- Why is there a huge price difference between 8gb iPhone and 16 and 32? About 6 months ago(so maybe my information is dated) I got a IPhone 4 8 gb with the one dollar upgrade with ATT. I was wondering why I could get 8gb for a dollar and if I remember right the 16 and 32 were several hundred dollars. Why is this when you can get a micro SD 32 Gb card for 20$?
- What's the difference between the IPad and a laptop and IPhone? I have a laptop and IPhone but interested in the IPad, tell me what it can do for me that the laptop and iphone can't. Why should i buy it.

- What's the difference between and Iphone 4 and a Iphone 3gs? Like I'm probably getting an iPhone 3gs, but I want to know, can you do everything you can do with an Iphone 4 on an Iphone 3gs?
