Abnormal lumps behind/on tonsil?
I'm 16 and I DON't smoke neither drink? I do live and i'm around people who do smoke? For 3/4 months I've been suffering with colds ect and since I can remember been suffering with cases of tonsillitis and Quinsey, about 2 weeks ago,! My tonsils and throat have been feeling swollen and bruised. I checked my tonsils in the mirror with my iPhone light and I've got 2 abnormal lumps behind/on the tonsil. My tonsils are abit swollen but not painful just feel achey and bruised. I went to my GP and they said come back in a week and see if they've gone, since then they've got bigger and last night they started bleeding? And it's quite achey to open my mouth wide. I've tried making appointments again but they're always booked. Any advice? I'm scared it's cancer? As the symptoms of Tonsil cancer I have most of them?
Most swollen glands or lumps under the skin are not cause for concern. The glands (lymph nodes) on either side of the neck, under the jaw, or behind the ears commonly swell when you have a cold or sore throat.

No, you don't have tonsil cancer. You probably have strep throat or tonsillitis and need a stronger round of antibiotic. If you got Amoxicillin the first time, that antibotics is useless. Second hand smoke causes upper and lower respiratory infections and damages your lungs. I'm not a smoker, but my mom was a chain smoker. Because of her smoking I have small airway disease that can't be reversed. Take care and avoid it at all costs to prevent further damage.
You probably have tonsilitis, if it was serious doc would send you straight to hospital so stop stressing, worse thing you will need is operation to remove tonsils, Good Luck
