Accidentally made 2 deposits of the same check?

So I decided to make a deposit through my banks phone iphone app where I just take a photo of the check. After submitting it- I didn't see the funds right away like sometimes citi bank does. So I decided to cash it at the ATM. Now it shows that I have a certain amount because the checks were cashed in. Are they going to take this money back or what?

Call the bank and explain what happened. They will catch it anyhow and if not the bank certainly the check issuer will. While unlikely there's a possibility of this being taken for bank fraud.

Tell your bank before you are accuse to committing bank fraud, so call your bank and they will take the money bank as they don't exactly want to pay you twice and they may think you did this purposely.

So Einstein since you know "like sometimes citi bank does" why besides committing fraud did you consider this time any different?

YES they will take the money back and possibly even get you on fraud charges or just close the account. Better call and see if they believe you since you already knew it sometimes takes time to show, good luck on that one!
