Accidentally spilled water on my desk/macbook/iphone

I spilled a bit of water on my desk and I think a little hit my phone and macbook air. I don't think anything major happened, but I just want to know if there's anything I should do. My macbook had a keyboard cover and I think most of the water went onto that and I really doubt anything touched the macbook itself (maybe a drop or two on the touchpad? Possibly the usb port, but that's a big if) I just turned it upside down and wiped it with a towel and it's working fine. As for my iPhone, I spilled some on the top (again, maybe a couple of drops), but I wiped it off immediately, I don't think it entered the speakers or anything and it works fine as well. Is there anything I should do to be safe?

You should be absolutely fine but if your worried turn the phone off and put it in a bag of dry rice

I would at least leave the macbook and iPhone off over night just in case.

If it's your iPhone, have it sit in a Tupperware with rice. The rice will soak up the water. I don't know about your MacBook. Although, I highly recommend Best Buy' s geek squad. You can visit the store kiosk.

Everything is going to be fine, just blow any hole by which you think the water entered the iPhone and that's all.

  • Spilled water on my iPhone 4s the other day. Now doesn't work? So, the other day i was watching a movie in my house and I knocked over my class of water. There was only ice in it but still it got all over the table. I thought i cleaned it all up but by the end of the movie when I was cleaning up i realized an ice cube must have landed on my phone and melted. So i dried it out and everything but now 2 days later after the battery fully died last night this morning it won't turn on.

It recognizes touch and the sound works fine. It just the screen is black. If anyone has ever had this happened and fixed there's please tell me how i need to get this fixed as soon as possible
  • Iphone 4 Spilled Water on it? Well, earlier today i spilled half a glass of water on the back of my Iphone 4.thankfully I use a otterbox and I think I got lucky and the case took the brunt if the hit. Anyway, as soon as the glass spilled I immmeditly took it out of the case and the Iphone appeared completely dry except a little damp near the headphone plug in. Never turned my phone off or anything and everything still works perfectly fine, any recommendations on what I can do, to prevent if any damage to my phone?
