Airport Does Not See Router?
Using Tiger 10.4.11
Just installed factory Apple Airport card into Powermac
Sometimes sees router for a time and then signal dies
Router is Netgear WRN 2000. I have my Iphone and 2 Macbooks using it with no issues. Simply add mac addresses to access and list and presto.
I do not know what I'm doing wrong. I have tried reinstalling the card. In Network when Airport is Selected no IP ADDRESS or Subnet mask is there. Have tried disabling the access list on the router to see if connects and it does no
How is that possible, did you checked everything good, my friend has that router and it is good.
Check out what is wrong with your network provider for example. Tell them what is the problem and check what you get when try to see your address.
I agree with mark. Problem could be solved, contact your network provider.

Just wanted to know the difference between a cheap router and an expensive router, I know that is a very broad question, I'm just a bit confused on how a router works. Does it increase my Internet speed on multiple devices? I get 50Mb per second, Well at least that's what I pay for. I have a PS3 two iPhones and a tablet, as well as a desktop PC that is wireless. Can anyone recommend an excellent router under $150
- Is it possible to see sends and receives trough the router? If someone has access to the main router, can he check the connected devices activities? For example if an iPhone is connected to this router, is it possible to check what does the app's on iphone do. Or being able to see or read images and texts? If so is there any way to encrypt data?
- If you had a time machine and could see 1 person, who would you go see and why? I would see Aristotle, not only would I be able to bump shoulders with Alexander the Great I would love to pick at Aristotle's brain about philosophy, his views on life what he thinks the meaning is and how he sees the world in a few thousand years, maybe even slip an iPhone in his pocket and see if we have flying cars and floating houses when I come back to the present.
- I see layers when I see? For a few months now I've started to see strange things. For example, when I drive I see a second layer on top of a yellow road line. Or when I'm typing something on my iPhone I see the original text plus the same text slightly beneath it (same as the road exmaple, a second layer). It doesn't happen on all objects I look at but it's definitely concerning. I've tried researching this on google and couldn t find anything. If someone could help that would be awesome.
