Alarm clock that's not on your phone that you can personalize the sound?
I've had a heart condition for my entire life where I can't be startled. Because of this, I've avoided alarm clocks nearly my entire life. When I have needed one, I used a phone one that has a very mild sound (ie Silk on iPhone). But I'm sick of sleeping with my phone nearby, and I know it's not healthy. I've grown up and I really need an alarm clock for work and college. Is there any actual alarm clocks where you can add your own music to wake up to, or an alarm clock with very mild noise or music so it doesn't startled someone with health problems?
You started out sounding like an infirm 80 year old, but as I read along you say you are a college kid. Can't you figure this out by yourself?
Just get a radio alarm clock; set it to Classic FM or Radio 3.
A very common digital alarm clock has a selection either in Tone or Radio station music, able to adjust the volume into level you prefer. Pick one from here…
Get one with a CD player so it can wake you to whatever is on the disc,
then use a disc that suits you.

- Why doesn't my alarm clock sound off on my iphone? Although it "alarms" when it should, it doesn't ring, it only vibrates. Does anyone know how to fix this? P.S I had a 4 day weekend last week, and I kept leaving my phone everywhere, so I didn't get to turn off the alarm clock for maybe 3 days, so maybe this is the reason?
