Alternatives to iTunes for Mac OS X?
My sister recently got an iPhone 4S, (I know, I know, Androids are where it's at, and I got an HTC One X) anyways, she got her iPhone and stupid enough, my version of Mac OS X (Tiger) isn't compatible with the newest iTunes, and the 4S isn't compatible with the old iTunes. So she's screwed for music unless she buys it directly from her phone. So does anyone know any alternative programs that would help get around this problem?
There's no alternative to iTunes, period. WHY on earth are you still using OS X Tiger 10.4.x? The REAL problem is your outdated OS X.
Just like Windows, newer OS X versions are MANDATORY Upgrades, and they cost way less (<> $ 29) than their Windows (<> $ 129) counterparts. But, you need to do the UPDATES when they are released, NOT 5 years later.
So, call Apple Tech Support (the Phone number is on Apple's website), and ask them to explain your OS X Upgrade options, and any necessary Hardware Upgrades, too.
OS X Mountain Lion (10.8.x) or OS X Lion (10.7.x) is were you should be, and you likely also need a minimum of 4 GB of RAM.
TIP: It will be the BEST money you ever spent. Maybe Sis will share the cost?
