Am I allowed to sell an unopened iPhone from apple?

So I have applecare and my iPhone 6 broke and I'm able to get a brand new one for free and I was wondering if I'm allowed to sell it to get some cash. Is this against the terms and agreements?

You have to give them your old one in order to get a new one. Are people this stupid?

I wouldn't think so.

Actually it's not totally free. You will have to pay $79 for the new phone. And you must turn in your phone so they can determine if the damage is accidental ot intentional. Plus they may opt to repair the phone if it is possible to do so. Just because it's broken, that doesn't mean Apple can't fix it.
