Am I the only one who doesn't have an IPhone? - 1

All my friends are running out to get an iPhone 5. I don't even have an iPhone. I think it's a huge waste to get an iPhone 5 if you already have one.

Yes. I think so.

Your friends are not the only people in the world. There are millions of people in America alone who don't have any smartphone, let alone the iPhone, let alone the newest iPhone. Many can't afford to get one or have decided that the money is spent or saved for more worthwhile things. Other people are simply more mature and have decided that simply because "all of their friends" are getting an iPhone is no reason for them to get one themselves.

Again, that's personal preference. It makes sense depending on how new your existing iPhone is. If it's a 3GS, then there's a good reason to get it. While the 3GS will run the new iOS, it's likely to be weighed down by it, as are all aging iOS devices by new upgrades. Also, the new iPhone supports 4G speeds, meaning that if you're already paying for data, the new iPhone will download it faster. If you've already got the 4 or even 4s, an iPhone 5 isn't a waste if you can pass it down to a younger brother or sister who doesn't have a smartphone and is determined to get at least something and pay for data. It's really a matter of circumstances unique to each person.
